Nationality exam in Spain
Foreigners who wish to obtain Spanish nationality must take a series of tests, usually known as the nationality test. The purpose of these tests (which are two, one language and another general knowledge) is to prove, on the one hand, that the foreigner knows the Spanish language; On the other hand, it is also proven that you know the culture and institutions of Spain. The official name of these exams is the test of constitutional and sociocultural knowledge of Spain (CCSE test) and Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE test).
Exemptions nationality examination in Spain
In principle, all people who are going to apply for nationality by residence have to do these tests. However, the Ministry of Justice also includes a series of exemptions, either because the foreigner can not do the tests for objective reasons, or because it is considered that these tests are not necessary for him. The cases we say are the following:
- People who can not read or write.
- People with learning difficulties
- Applicants who have been schooled in Spain and have passed compulsory secondary education.
Who meets any of these requirements, must send a request to the Ministry of Justice, which will resolve it in a motivated manner.
